Holbrook Primary School
Bringing the School’s Vision to Life Through Video and Photography
This project was shot over two days, capturing a blend of high-quality video and photography. We worked closely with the team at Holbrook Primary School to understand and realise their specific vision, ensuring the final content was a true reflection of their community.
The Objective
The school wanted to strengthen its website with purposeful content that went beyond written messaging. The goal was to clearly communicate who they are, what they stand for, and how the school operates day-to-day.
The Approach
By spending two full days on-site, we were able to capture an authentic view of the school’s culture and energy. The film and photography were designed to speak directly to prospective parents, pupils, and potential partners. Through considered storytelling and capturing natural, unscripted moments, we positioned Birchwood as a confident, caring, and ambitious environment for education.

Mrs Perry, Holbrook Primary School
“It was a real pleasure working with Mike Wilson. From the outset, he was extremely well-organised, planning the two days of filming in detail to ensure every aspect of school life was captured at its best. His calm, professional manner helped both staff and children feel relaxed and natural on camera, and his creative eye has resulted in a film and set of photos that truly reflect our school’s values and spirit.
He also guided me expertly through recording a voiceover that perfectly complements the finished film and reinforces our motto and ethos. The response has been overwhelmingly positive - parents, staff, and pupils have all commented on how beautifully the video represents our school which is now a key feature on the homepage of our new website. It even received a warm round of applause when shared in our first assembly of the autumn term and has already led to increased interest from prospective families.
I would highly recommend Mike to any school or organisation looking to capture what makes them special.”
